Ömer Gökalp Akcan graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department in 2019. He is currently studying his MSc education at the same university. His graduation thesis was on “Paper-based piezoresistive biosensor design” in the project of TUBITAK coded 117E236. With his graduation, he continues his master’s degree with two separate projects, which are TUBITAK project “Development of paper-based biosensor for aflatoxin detection” and “Fabriation of low-cost artificial skin sensor for robotic applications”. He also works as a teaching assistant at Istanbul Bilgi University. His research interests are disposable devices, biosensors, piezoresistive MEMS sensors, Artificial skin sensors, materials mechanics, origami-MEMS.
